Research Scientist – Composites Product Development
Our client is the world’s leading producer of composite (FRP) materials. They market their goods to all industry sectors and have manufacturing facilities across Europe and the USA.
The Role:
They are currently seeking an experienced, commercially aware, Research Scientist to join the team. The role will be primarily focused on the research, development and evaluation of new, leading edge, composite materials. You will be an individual who can combine detailed scientific analysis with project management skills, market awareness, drive and determination to deliver commercially successful products.
The Candidate:
- Educated to Ph.D. or Masters level in Chemistry or Materials Science with a specialisation in polymer chemistry and composites.
- An extensive knowledge of composites and their applications.
- Experience in the manufacture of composite materials – UP and Woven prepregs.
- At least 2 years research and product development experience gained in the aerospace or automotive environments.
- Assured and confident, you will be at ease with both technical research as well as customer facing environments.
