A leading telecommunications provider, our client is currently looking for a SERVICE SUPPORT ENGINEER to join their team. Your role will be to provide 2nd/3rd line technical product support to ensure network and service infrastructure is performing optimum. This will include monitoring service availability, trouble shooting and resolution of faults, pro-active service performance and configuration management. Particular focus will be on I.N (Intelligent Network) components (SCP, SSP, IP), IVR and Erling applications used to deliver a range of voice and data services. For this role we are looking for an individual with at least 6 months of Intelligent Network support, test or development with an understanding of I.N architecture, principles and protocols (SS7 including INAP/Camel, TCAP, SCCP and ETSI PRI), experience of 2nd or 3rd line support or operations environment and preferably 12 months experience in the IT or telecommunications industry. You will have strong Unix skills including system admin, shell scripting, a strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, knowledge of: SNMP, HTTP, WAP, RADIUS, LDAP and other internet protocols.
